Ocean Point is an outcropping of rocks at the very tip of a peninsula that is formed by Linekin Bay and the Damariscotta River. On Sunday mornings, we'd go to the East Boothbay General Store for sticky buns and coffee, take them up the point, park our beach chairs and sit for pretty much as long as our rear-ends could take it. From the point, you can see three lighthouses: Ram Island, Cuckholds and Burnt Island Light. Over the years, Dick painted many, many paintings of those lighthouses.
Melissa loves Ocean Point so much that she wrote a poem about it, and the poem was recently published in the Literary Bohemian. You can read it HERE.
While traveling in the RV, we returned to the area for a week at a campground in nearby Damariscotte. These pictures are from that vistit. Enjoy!
