We are travelers and travel bloggers. Here at this blog, we'll tell you about places we've been that we think will be of interest to other travelers. Whether on the road in our RV, taking a non-RV vacation or simply investigating our local surroundings, we are constantly discovering new places and things to do, and we love sharing those discoveries with you.

Happy Trails!

New Orleans, LA

We stayed at Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, LA at the suggestion of Harold and Linda Payne, whom we met during an overnight stop outside of Houston. The Paynes are well-known to RVers as the folks who weigh your RV and who provide great information via their RV-Dreams website. They weighed our RV for us and gave us the tip about Bayou Segnette.

The campground is just south of New Orleans. From there, you can drive a short distance to take the free ferry over to the city. The ferry lets you off just where you want to be - in the French Quarter.

Our stay was short, but we enjoyed walking around and we especially enjoyed the beignets at Cafe du Monde!

Our fabulous site at Bayou Segnette State Park. We even had a nice wooden deck and
I was able to lay down my yoga mat and do my practice!
It was pretty rare to have a nice place for my mat in the campgrounds.
And notice how long and level the sites are!!!
