Tour of the Nexus Facility

Before we made our decision to purchase an RV from Nexus, we went to their manufacturing facility in Elkhart, Indiana. There, we met one of the owners, Claude Donati, who gave us a tour and answered all of our questions.

We were very impressed with the Nexus operation. They had good ideas about how to do things differently (better), including:


  • RV shell is constructed with lightweight metal studs rather than wood
  • Roof is one-piece fiberglass (less prone to developing leaks)
  • Insulating properties of walls, ceiling and floor in most cases exceeds industry standards
